AUGUSTA, Ga. – Carlton L. Deese, Administrative Business Manager for the partnership between Georgia Regents University and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, has been named Associate Director for the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. He will assume his new role Dec. 16th.
Deese played a key role in the development and management of the contract between DBHDD and GRU, which was initiated in 2009 to improve and enhance services at East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta.
He previously served as the Associate Administrator for Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, Fla. Prior to that, he was a Health Systems Specialist and Administrative Fellow at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center.
“Carlton’s professional background and experience with GRU and interagency agreements will serve him well in his new role here,” said Charles Esposito, Executive Director of the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. “We’re excited to have him on board.”
Deese earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Coker College and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
The Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home is operated through an interagency agreement between Georgia Regents University and the Georgia Department of Veterans Service.
